제목 Improving the photovoltaic performance of quantum dot-sensitized solar cells using copper-doped cadmium sulfide quantum dots
초록 This work describes the effect of incorporation of copper (Cu) in CdS QDs to improve the photovoltaic performance of quantum dot sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs). The various concentrations of Cu-doped CdS photoelectrodes were synthesized by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method. The cell devices were fabricated using Cu-doped photoanodes and CuS counter electrodes with a polysulfide electrolyte. Under the illumination of one sun (AM 1.5 G, 100 mW cm-2), 3mm Cu-doped CdS QDSSCs exhibit excellent power conversion efficiency (η = 3%) and short circuit current density (Jsc = 9.40 mA cm-2), which is higher than the values of bare CdS QDs  
(η = 2.05%, Jsc = 7.12 mA cm-2). The improved photovoltaic parameters of QDSSCs is due to the impurities from Cu2+ metal ion doping of CdS QDs, which have an influence on the surface structure of the host material.
