제목 Compatibilization of kenaf fiber and cellulose diacetate using poly(vinyl alcohol)
초록 The plasticized cellulose diacetate (CDA) with triacetine (TA) was compounded with kenaf fiber as reinforcing agents. In order to compatibilize between kenaf fiber and CDA and to feed the fiber into extruder, the fiber was sized with poly (vinyl alcohol)(PVA) solution. The degree of sizing was as function of PVA-concentration. The different sized kenaf fiber was compounded with the plasticized CDA. It was founded the optimal processing conditions. The amount of kenaf fiber was affected on the properties of CDA/kenaf fiber compound. The mechanical and thermal properties of CDA/kenaf fiber compounds were investigated by UTM and TGA, DMA, respectively. The morphology of the compound was observed by SEM-image.
