Blends of the natural polymer cellulose diacetate and polyamide-6 are studied according to the polyamide-6 content. The plasticized cellulose diacetate (CDA) with triacetine (TA) was blended with polyamide-6 as reinforcing agents by melting process. The various levels of polyamide-6 added into the plasticized CDA and the optimal processing condition was investigated. The mechanical strength of CDA was enhanced using polyamide-6, and CH3COOH of CDA was effectively absorbed using polyamide-6. The mechanical and thermal properties of CDA/polymide-6 blend were investigated by UTM and TGA, DMA, respectively. The morphology of the blend was observed by SEM-image. |
