Water soluble PEDOT:PSS is widely adopted as the anode HTLs in PSCs due to its high work function, optical transparency, and excellent film forming on transparent electrode. However, highly acidic property of PEDOT:PSS is known to induce corrosion of indium doped tin oxide (ITO) that use as general transparent electrode, leading to poor long-term stability of devices. In addition, electrical inhomogeneity, resulting from formation of inhomogeneos film morphology, causes serious problem in the reliability of devices. For efficient and stable PSCs, we fabricated MoO3 as an alternative to PEDOT:PSS HTL by simple brush painting, which is one of the most compatible processes with roll-to-roll based mass production to achieve ideal coating on a variety of substrates, even on non-flat substrate. Characterization on the structural and optical properties of directly brush painted MoO3 films using various precursor solutions and relationship with overall PCE of PSCs will be discussed. |
