제목 Novel n-type Organic Semiconductors
초록 Recently, we have explored rational molecular designing strategy for the optimization of high-performance n-type organic field-effect transistors (OFETs). In particular, we have focused on the molecules based on α-cyano (CN)-stilbene-type structures. From a simple phenylenevinylene derivative (CN-TFPA) which exhibits electron mobility up to 0.55 cm2/Vs in the solution processed OFETs, we have finally succeeded in accomplishing excellent electrical characteristics showing electron mobility as high as 2.14 cm2/Vs with the highly crystalline molecule (Hex-4-TFPTA) featuring an extended α-CN-stilbene-type hetero-aromatic backbone. In this presentation, I will discuss the guideline to designing high-performance n-type semiconducting materials and suggest a novel approach to obtain metallic organic nanocables and well balanced co-crystal ambipolar OFETs.
