Highly Porous Coal Tar Pitch-based Activated Carbon Fibers for the Removal of Heavy Metal Ions in Wastewater treatments |
초록 |
The heavy metal ions adsorption properties of coal tar pitch-based activated carbon fibers (ACFs) with different steam activation conditions were studied. The ACFs were prepared from stabilized pitch-based fibers by steam activation at 900℃ with 20, 40, and 60 min. The adsorption characteristics of Ni(II) in aqueous solution using the ACFs has been studied. The textural properties of the ACFs were examined by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The removal of heavy metal ions on the ACFs had been confirmed by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. As experimental results, the large adsorption capacity could be obtained at 40 min activation time. |
