Currently, Hydrophobic I-O hybrid materials prepared by particle-binder system and sol-gel process are widely used in functional coating fields such as coatings for efficiency improvement of heat exchangers, solar cell cover glass and anti-fingerprinting of display. In this study, various O-I hybrid coating materials were prepared using several kinds of alkoxysilane precursors to make hydrophobic O-I hybrid coating solution as a binder. O-I hybrid coating films were formed on glass substrate at various types of binder and weight ratio of particle to binder. The hydrophobicity, transparency, surface morphology, uniformity and surface hardness of resulting coatings were evaluated by the water contact angle measurement, scanning electron microscopy, surface hardness test, atomic force microscope, and UV visible spectroscopy to discuss the effect of types of binder and particle to binder ratio on their properties |
