One-pot synthesis method successfully produced the hybrid catalyst (Cu-Al-SBA-15(10)) which had the mild acidity originated from Al-incorporated mesoporous silica andthe copper oxides. The prepared catalyst was characterized with BET, XRD, NH3-TPD, SEM and TEM. Dimethyl ether steam reforming (DME SR)for H2 production was investigated over the copper-based hybrid catalyst. The Cu-Al-SBA-15(10) showed much smaller CuO crystallite (about 4.4 nm) and milder acidity than the Cu/Al-SBA-15(10) catalyst prepared by physical mixing, thereby showing higher catalytic activity and hydrogen yield in the DME SR reaction. |
