Donor-acceptor conjugated polymers have attracted attention as an alternative materials due to their low cost, ease of manufacture, and compatibility with flexible substrates. Recently, conjugated polymers which adopted F atom show enhanced performance in organic solar cells and organic field-effect transistors because the electron withdrawing property of F atom lowers the energy level of polymer without optical band gap changing. Based on this motivation, we synthesized donor polymers containing fluorinated benzothiadiazole unit to control the energy level of polymers. The polymer shows strong aggregation in solution and film checked by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. In OFETs, polymer shows balanced ambipolar characteristics by increase of F atoms. Polymer with F atom exhibits good performance in OSCs, ~7 %, without any additives. |
