제목 Mesostructure-based electrocatalyst for electrochemical CO2 reduction
초록 Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (CO2R) combining with various renewable energy sources draws significant attention because it could both reduce excessive CO2 in atmosphere and also convert intermittent electricity from renewables to chemical energy. Especially, producing more reduced chemicals from CO2 such as hydrocarbons and oxygenates is highly needed because of their wider application and higher energy density. However, high overpotential, low reaction rate and low selectivity of reaction are still challengeable. In this study, we fabricated mesostructure of Cu electrocatalysts via template-mediated electrodeposition method and adopted for CO2R. Our results show that improved selectivity and lower onset potentials towards multicarbon products of Cu mesostructure compared with flat Cu metal.
