New small molecule electrolytes based on 2,6-Pyridinedimethanol as the Cathode Buffer Layer without ZnO in Organic Solar Cells |
초록 |
For organic solar cells (OSCs), preparing the device without any thermal treatment is more efficient and comfortable than with Zinc Oxide (ZnO). In this study, a 2,6-pyridinedimethanol (Py-diOH) was synthesized as a cathode buffer layer for ZnO-free OSCs. The device was made of ITO/ Py-diOH/PTB7:PC71BM/MoO3/Ag as bulk heterojunction (BHJ) OSCs. The Py-diOH layer generates a favorable interface dipole between the electrolyte and active layer by modifying the energy level of the electrolyte. By Effect of the Py-diOH layer, the device achieved high power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) similar with the device based on ZnO as the electron transfer layer. |
