제목 Enhanced stabilization of solid lipid microparticles by using alky chain architecture-controlled cellulose surfactants
초록 This study introduces a type of cellulose surfactant system of which alkyl chain configuration is adapted for stabilizing solid lipid microparticle system (SLMs). To design a bacterial cellulose nanofiber (BCNF) surfactant with excellent emulsification ability for fabrication of SLMs, we synthesized a series of BCNFs with varying the conformation of grafted alkyl chains. We observed that dialkyl chains-grafted BCNFs (diC10BCNFs) showed preferential formation of an interfacial film at air-water interface, while increasing the interfacial modulus. This film generation behavior played a key role in wrapping the periphery of SLMs regardless of the type of lipids. We expect that these findings would have potential for development advanced technology for solid lipid particle stabilization.
