Molybdenum carbide draws attention as an electrocatalysts due to its high activity and stability. To enhance the catalytic properties, the material should have more active site. The number of active site can be enhanced when the material has mesostructure. For this purpose, we synthesize the mesoporous molybdenum carbide/carbon nanocomposites (MMoC) using EISA method. The block copolymer PEO-b-PS is chosen as a structure directing agent for phosphomolybdic acid (POM). Due to the lack of interaction between PEO moiety and POM, the materials cannot have mesostructure. In this work, we add ethanolamine to enhance the interaction. Due to the presence of ethanolamine, we can synthesize the material with mesostructure, MMoC. |
