Preparation methods of heterogeneous catalysts including impregnation and precipitation use a solution of one or more metal compounds to achieve the metal dispersed catalysts with metal oxides as supports. The solid-liquid separation and the subsequent drying operation should be performed. In addition, a calcinations step should be carried out, where the supported metal can be oxidized, followed by a reduction step using hydrogen to regenerate the active metal form. But, FB-MOCVD technique is possible to directly prepare highly dispersed metal-supported catalysts as only one step. Furthermore, fluidization can expect high productivity thanks to a large throughput and high mass/heat transfer. In this study, non-porous silicate was used as a substrate in a fluidized bed reactor. Preparation experiments of the supported metal catalysts were carried out under nitrogen flow with a vaporizer which contained Fe(CO)5, at 200-500oC. The obtained catalysts were characterized by SEM, EDX, XRD and catalytic performance. |
