In this work, we have prepared pitch-coated solid amine adsorbents by dipping and carbonization process. Petroleum pitch and melamine were used as precursors for carbon coating and solid amine, respectively. The prepared adsorbents possessed superior CO2 adsorption and mechanical properties. Especially, they showed stable cycle stability and excellent CO2 selectivity, which is of more relevance for flue gas application. The results suggested that the prepared adsorbents could be utilized in the flue gas condition. Also, they have superior mechanical strength by carbon coating, leading to practical use in existing post-combustion systems. |
