Dispersity of CNT and GNF in Polyurethane Matrix: Effect of Polyurethane Chemical Structure |

The aim of this study is to understand the effect of polymeric binder structure for fabrication of PU/CNT and PU/GNF composite materials. We synthesized PU having a different hard segment and investigated the dispersity of the dilute composite film prepared each PU and filler. The HDI based PU made better structural condition for filler’s dispersion because of its geometric similarity. This effect influenced the increasing its electro conductivity. A composite film composed of CNT showed a bad dispersive condition because of its phase separation between PU matrix and CNT. This result caused by low density of CNT. But this property made much CNT existed on the film surface. The PU/CNT composite film showed good conductivity at its surface. And these materials were compared with PU/silver composite. In this case, PU/CNT, and PU/GNF composite have a very low normalized sheet resistance value because the fiber type filler could have more contact point than the particle shaped sphere. |
