Green chemistry generally means to design of chemical products and processes that reduce, minimize or eliminate hazardous substances, which is well summarized as its twelve principles such as atom economy, prevention, and safer process design, etc. Considering that pharmaceutical industry generates a number of wastes, sustainable and eco-friendly process or technology is much more important than any other industries. Therefore, through this presentation, we want to review the key principles in green chemistry based on the pharmaceutical industry and share the excellent greener cases. |
