Synergistic effect of marigold-like CoCuMoO4 microspheres for efficient hydrogen generation via hydrolysis of NaBH4 |

Present work reports the facile synthesis of Co1−xCuxMoO4 hierarchical hybrids by hydrothermal method. The hybrids were characterized by various analytical techniques to confirm their structural and physical-chemical properties. With the increase in Cu ratio with respect to Co the morphology of these hierarchical hybrids varied significantly from irregular microsphere to marigold microspheres. Catalytic activity of hierarchical hybrids were investigated by hydrolysis of NaBH4 and outstanding catalytic activity was found for marigold-like Co0.9Cu0.1MoO4 catalyst with a H2 generation rate of 1005.7 ml H2·gcat−1 min−1. Also, catalysts mass loading, reusability tests were studied to confirm for their minimum catalyst loading and stability. |
