제목 Two-stage Pretreatment for the Solubilization of Hemicellulose and Lignin from Oak Wood
초록 Two-stage pretreatment of oak wood with dilute acid (H2SO4) followed by Deep eutectic solvent (DES) containing ChCl and LA was carried out to sequentially solubilize the hemicellulose and lignin. Dilute acid pretreatment could solubilize 86.0% of the initial xylan and preserved 61.0% lignin and 91.0% glucan contents at the optimized reaction conditions: 1% (w/w) H2SO4, 160°C, 30 min. The 2nd stage DES pretreatment with ChCl:LA (1:10) at 150°C for 6H was able to solubilize about 43.0% of the initial lignin present in the untreated biomass by preserving 81.0% of the initial glucan content in the pretreated solid residue. Further studies will be carried out to understand the characteristics of the recovered lignin and the preserved cellulose.
