With growing interest in efficient storage of energy resources, supercapacitors are emerging as a new energy storage alternative to lithium-ion batteries. In particular, when a conductive polymer is used as an electrode material of a supercapacitor, there is an advantage that a large amount of electric charge can be stored. In this study, super capacitor based on conductive polymer is discussed. Various types of electrode materials and asymmetric cells have been proposed to solve the problems of the conductive polymer including the lowering of reliability due to the volume expansion and the lower life cycle. The manufactured supercapacitors exhibited improved performances due to the construction of suitable electrode materials and cells. |
