In this work, hyper-branched polyimides were prepared from commercially available A2-type dianhydride monomers, 3,3′,4,4′-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride (BPTD), 4,4′-oxydiphthalic anhydride (ODPA), and dianhydride monomers 4,4-biphthalic anhydride (BPAD) with BB2-type triamine monomer 2,4,6-triaminopyrimidine (TAP) by condensation polymerization. The molecular structures of the synthesized hyper-branched polyimides were characterized by fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The molecular weights of the synthesized hyper-branched polyimides were measured by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The glass transition temperature (Tg) and thermal stability of the hyper-branched polyimides were investigated by DSC and TGA, respectively. We successfully synthesized the hyper-branched polyimides with different thermal properties by controlling the chemical structures of the anhydrides used. |
