Carbon Nanotube Film Anodes for Flexible Li-ion Batteries |

Carbon nanotube film anodes were prepared for flexible lithium ion battery and their performance were evaluated in this study. The films were synthesized via chemical vapor deposition of direct spinning. Before an electrode fabrication, the film was heat-treated under nitrogen atmosphere at high temperature. The effects of the heat treatment on the battery performance were studied. The heat-treated film showed higher capacity, which might result from the high crystalline perfection. The cyclic voltammetry test indicated that solid electrolyte interface (SEI) was well formed on the samples. As a result of the impedance analysis, the lower interface resistance was obtained from the heat-treated film. Also, charge-discharge test was carried out varying its rate from 1C to 10C. When the rate changed from 10C to 1C, the capacity mostly recovered. The nitrogen heat-treated film showed two times higher capacity at high rates such as 2C, 5C, and 10C than the untreated samples. |
