제목 SExcellent fire protection by Sulphate based cationized starch deposited on cotton fabric using LBL technique
초록 In recent year fire protection of materials have attracted a great attention in scientific community, due to the increase number of fire events throughout the world. Scientists are trying to develop different methods to prevent fire and reduce their effect. In this report sulphate based-cationized starch have been used to produce coatings on cotton fabric using LBL technique. LV-SEM and EDAX analysis were performed to study the surface morphology, thickness, growth rate and elemental composition of the coatings. FTIR was used to identify the presence of deposit entities. TGA and UL-94 test were used to analyzed the thermal degradation and fire protection performance of coating materials. It was found that the thermal degradation of the coated substrate was highly protected by the coating with optimized concentration and number of layers. The enhanced protection as the result concentration and number of layers with excellent adhesion and barrier properties.
