Water-insoluble foam made by lyophilization of carboxymethyl cellulose and their properties as an wound dressing material |
초록 |
The moist wound healing products are designed to maintain moist environment of wound site for facilitating wound healing and minimize trauma at removal of the product. Carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC) has been used in various medical fields due to its biocompatible characteristics. In this study, a water-insoluble CMC foam was produced by lyophilization and acid treatment. The effects of molar ratio of acid to CMC and treatment time on liquid handling characteristics were investigated. In addition, its cytotoxicity was evaluated to see their applicability as an wound dressing material. The results indicated that properties of water-insoluble CMC foam could be controlled by acid treatment conditions. |
