Nanoporous membrane with a pore size on the nanometer scale has been researched for a long time because it could be widely utilized in various fields. In particular, it can be used to filter out chemical substances selectively including particles, impurities and ions by size exclusion and/or chemical/electrical interactions via functional group. Gold nanoparticles, due to large surface area and reactivity with thiol group can be easily functionalized and endowed the interaction with other molecules. In our work, the Au nanoparticles were decorated around the pores to functionalize the nanoporous membranes. Self-assembled structure of block copolymers was templated to produce the nanopores in the membrane, and the Au nanoparticles were selectively added the interaction with the block component. Their structure and organization was optimized to improve the performance in the membrane filtration. |
