제목 A Study on Fracture Toughness of Electrolessly Ag-plated MWNCTs-reinforced Epoxy Matrix Composites
초록 In this work, MWCNTs were electrolessly Ag-plated in order to investigate the effect of metal plating on the thermal conductivity of Ag-plated MWCNTs-reinforced epoxy matrix composites. The surfaces of MWCNTs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The fracture toughness of the composites was carried out through the critical stress intensity factor (KIC) measurement. Fracture toughness of the Ag-plated MWCNTs-contained composites were greater than those of non-treated ones. These results were probably due to the improvement of intermolecular interaction between the Ag-plated MWCNTs and the matrix resins.
