제목 Amalgamation of 2D and 3D culture system using micro-patterned responsive materials for cell re-assembly
초록 Cell spheroid has various advantages such as excellence in mimicking cellular microenvironment and increase in ECM secretion. Thus, it is being used for in vitro model studies and regenerative medicine. Although many methods have been developed for spheroid formation, there are some limitations in respect for control over spheroid size and mass production. To overcome these limitations, we developed a system that can control uniformly distributed spheroid size in a large scale production. We fabricated micro-patterned thermo-responsive hydrogels using micro contact printing technique for regulation of cell adhesion, which was able to be detached and re-assembled into spheroidal shape when hydrogel was expanded by temperature change. In this study, we analyzed spheroid size distribution, viability, proliferation, and re-assembly mechanism.
