제목 | Characteristics of microbial fuel cell with polyvinylidene fluoride nanofiber composite membrane |
초록 | The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of microbial fuel cells (MFC) equipped with a polyvinylidene fluoride nanofiber coated with perfluorinated sulfuric acid ionomer composite membrane using electrochemical catalysis by Shewanella oneidensis. When the polarization curve reached stability, having no significant difference in three consecutive cycles of MFC, the intermediate cycle measurement was used to calculate the power density. The power density measured from the MFC reactor with the polyvinylidene fluoride nanofiber coated with perfluorinated sulfuric acid ionomer composite membrane is higher than that measured from the MFC reactor with the commercial Nafion membrane. The power density reached 545 mW/m2 for the composite membrane in the MFC system.
