제목 Adsorption characteristics of carbon dioxide on basalt based porous materials
초록 Zeolites have been widely used as adsorbents, catalysts, ion exchanges, molecular sieves and so on, due to their unique channel or cage forms that lead to different pore networks. In this work, we synthesized basalt based NaA-type (BBA) zeolites by alkali fusion method and evaluated their adsorption ability. The synthesized samples were characterized by XRD, FE-SEM, EDX, nitrogen and carbon dioxide adsorption-desorption data. Adsorption equilibrium isotherms of carbon dioxide on BBA and commercial zeolites were measured using a volumetric adsorption system in the temperature range from 283.15 to 303.15 K. In addition, several well-known isotherm equations such as Langmuir, Sips and Toth were used to correlate the experimental data and to determine the thermodynamic properties. Our experimental results showed that the basalt base NaA-type zeolites have a good potential for adsorption of carbon dioxide.
