Lithium-ion batteries(LIB) with a high energy density have been used for application as electric vehicles. We prepared functionalization of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT) by ionic liquid (IL) for anode. Using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (BMIMBF4), the processability and electrochemical properties of MWCNT improved. The preparation process was investigated fourier-transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The structure of materials was characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The electrochemical performances were evaluated in coin cell versus lithium metal. We compared the performance of MWCNT and MWCNT/IL hybrids. Furthermore, metal oxide as Fe2O3 was synthesized on the surface of MWCNT/IL to improve the battery performances. This research offers an effective technology to improve electrochemical performances of carbon nanomaterials in LIB. |
