Structure and Reactivity of Vanadium oxide catalysts supported on Microporous TiO2 for NO reduction with NH3 |

There have been a number of researches on the surface structure of atomically dispersed vanadium oxide species on a wide range of metal oxide supports. In most cases, metal oxide environment supporting vanadium oxide is described as 2-dimensional flat surface because the pore size of metal oxide is generally much larger than that of vanadium species. In our previous research, microporous TiO2 with small pore less than 1nm was used as support of vanadium oxide. We found that vanadium oxide confined in microporous structure showed significant enhancement in selective catalytic reduction of NOx compared to conventional mesoporous catalytic system. The purpose of this study is to investigate distinct structure of vanadium oxide in micropore as a function of temperature. We demonstrated that microporous structure could restrain the polymerization of vanadium species to a certain extent, which made one-dimensional polymeric vanadate dominant catalysts. |
