In this study, the removal of NOx on metal-coated porous carbonaceous materials (Me-PCs) was investigated. The pore structures and total pore volumes of the Me-PCs were examined by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The microstructure and surface morphology of the Me-PCs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), respectively. From the results, the NOx adsorption properties of the Me-PCs were predominantly increased. This was probably due to the NOx adsorption properties of PCs attributed to the presence of metal nanoparticles in this system. |
