Synthesis & characterization of Silica-Titania-Iron oxide composites in a single step by using sol-gel process |

We prepared Iron oxide-Titania–Silica composite in a single step from cheap silica source by tuning the proton donating capacity of the solution; thus manipulating the typical Gel formation mechanism to attain the desired composite material. This novel technique involves three solutions of precursors added to one pot at appropriate intervals of time in a specific pH. Successful formation of Iron oxide composites was confirmed by XRD, Endorsed by SEM, TEM & UV-VIS. Compound has potential applications in photo catalysis, cosmetics & pharmaceuticals. |
