제목 Electrochemical Synthesis of PEDOT:PSS / Graphene Oxide Composites for Durable Soft Neural Micro-electrode
초록 The long-term durable neural interfacing has been considered one of the most challenging tasks in developing neural electrode for more than a decade. Even if the intrinsically conductive polymers and carbon nano-materials have demonstrated the most promising functional integration with neural tissues, there is still no single material which provides ideal physicochemical properties for chronically implanted neural interfacing. For the durable and soft coatings for neural electrode, the poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) / graphene oxides (GOs) hybrid composites were successfully constructed by electrochemical deposition on a gold micro-electrode. These composites showed varied performances as implantable neural electrodes depending on the redox states of GOs. From the electrochemical, biological and mechanical analysis, our PEDOT:PSS/reduced graphene oxides (rGOs) composites showed the far better performances as the neural interfacing material.
