Sulfur Tolerance on Ceria Modified Ni/YSZ Anode in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells |
초록 |
To enhance sulfur tolerance, we coated nano particles(10-30 nm) of the ceria on Ni/YSZ anode pore wall surface in SOFCs.The experimental was performed at 700 oC varying H2S concentration from 0 to 200 ppm.The sulfur poisoning process under constant current condition was appeared in two stages.The cell voltages decreased rapidly after introducing the H2S in the first several hours in both the unmodified and the modified cells and then reached a relatively stable state.Both the modified and unmodified anode was poisoned under H2S exposure.Ni3S2 was hardly formed in the ceria coated Ni/YSZ anode which results to less performance drop comparing to the conventional Ni/YSZ anode.The ceria reacted with H2S to form Ce2O2S which acts as a sulfur sorbent. |
