제목 Structural, Magnetic and Electrochemical Sensing Behaviour of α-Fe2O3 Nanorods
초록 In this study, we adopt a co‒precipitation method for the synthesis of one dimensional (1D) α‒Fe2O3 nanorods at room temperature. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images confirms the presence of α‒Fe2O3 nanorods. Magnetic hysteresis measurement reveals that the α‒Fe2O3 nanorods displayed the ferromagnetic behavior with a remanence of 2.1 x 10-3 emug-1 and a coercivity of 45 Oe at room temperature. α‒Fe2O3 nanorods modified glassy carbon (GC) electrodes were characterized with cyclic voltammetric electrochemical techniques. A significant enhancement in cathodic peak current (C1), detection limit and sensitivity was observed for α‒Fe2O3 nanorods modified GC electrode with those of bare electrode.
