In this study, the electrochemical analysis of Platinum (Pt) supported thiol-attached reduced graphene oxide (t-rGO) was investigated. The functional groups of GO were substituted for thiol (SH), which result from strong nucleophilic substitution reaction. The Sulfur(S) that has high affinity to metal combines with Pt by strong covalent bond. In conclusion, The Pt-t-GO was synthesized and showed that the Pt-t-rGO is better than Pt/rGO in terms of electrocatalytic activity. Also, the electrocatalytic activity was different according to the various weight ratios of thiol. The remarkable property of Pt-t-rGO was demonstrated by CV, FE-SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XPS and XRD. |
