Novel transparent electrodes for thin film opto-electronics |

Here, we demonstrate a novel transparent electrodes for thin film opto-electrical devices such as organic solar cells and OLEDs. Metal nanowire meshes have been fabricated on various substrates such as glass, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), or embedded in a robust hybrid substrate. The resulted metal meshes showed high transmittance over 94 % and low sheet resistance less than 15 ohm/sq with a controlled surface roughness as well as enhanced mechanical properties compared to the conventional indium tin oxide (ITO). The thin film organic solar cell utilizing the newly developed electrodes showed the high power conversion efficiency of ca. 6 % under 100 mW/cm2 AM 1.5 G illumination. |
