Due to advantageous features of fluorescence phenomena, fluorescent materials have inevitable role for material science and biomedical research. it is important to consider appropriate fluorescent property. However, it is not easy to develop fluorescent compound with desired photophysical properties. We found that HOMO and LUMO lobe on C-1, C-3 and C-6 position of the core had a large difference lobe size using density functional theory(DFT) calculation. Modification of C-1, C-3 and C-6 position with 5, 5 and 3 different substituents, respectively, allowed synthesizing 75 fluorescent compound having indolizine core, covering full-visible-color, via a simple 3 step organic synthesis. Based on discovered photophysical properties of the fluorescent compound library, we believe the fluorescent materials could be used as fluorescent organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) materials and be used for bioprobe development to monitor biological process. |
