제목 Electrodeposited Catalysts for Water Splitting
초록 For a sustainable hydrogen economy, water splitting has been recognized as a promising method for hydrogen production in the near future. In order to realize the technology, development of highly active and stable electrocatalysts are essential to increase the performance as well as decrease the operating cost. There are several methods to fabricate the electrocatalysts for both of hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions. Among them, the electrodeposition has received attention as an effective method for fabricating film- and particle-type catalysts because the method facilitates simple preparation process under ambient pressure and temperature. The results presented herein demonstrate the catalytic activity of electrodeposited pure and bimetallic catalysts for water splitting. The conventional and self-terminated electrodepositions enable the precise controls of their morphology and composition which are significantly related to the catalytic activity.
