Liquid crystal polymer is a polymer that indicates liquid crystal in a solution or melt state. When LCP are made of fiber, LCP fibers have a high elastic and high strength. In particular, due to increasing interest in safety protection at industrial field, we wanted to develop a LCP composite with chloroprene rubber to develop high-strength vibration-reduction materials. The surfaces of LCP and CR materials are hydrophobic and have poor interfacial adhesion. So plasma equipment is used to increased interface adhesion of LCP and CR materials. In this study, the hydrophobic surface of LCP and CR materials are modified by nitrogen and oxygen plasma to improve interfacial adhesion properties of LCP/CR composites. The interfacial adhesion characteristics of vibration-reduced fiber composite materials are evaluated by the contact angle and 180 peel-off test. |
