Effect of Electron Beam Irradiation on Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Electrospun Polyamide 66 Fibers |

Polyamide 66 (PA66) was electrospun in the presence and absence of triallyl cyanurate (TAC) and irradiated with electron beam. The morphology and structure of PA66 and PA66-TAC non-woven fibers were characterized by SEM and H1 NMR. The SEM results confirmed that the morphology of PA66 was altered by electron beam. The presence of TAC in the PA66-TAC non-woven fibers was verified by H1 NMR analysis. The physical and mechanical properties of PA66 and PA66-TAC non-woven fibers irradiated with 0~100 kGy of radiation were analyzed by TGA and tensile tests. |
