Three-dimensional (3D) photonic crystals are crystalline materials with periodically modulated refractive index on a length scale comparable to the wavelength of light. A photonic crystal that has complete photonic bandgaps can reflect incident light from any direction. In recent years there has been a considerable effort to develop novel methods for mass production of 3D PCs by optical interference lithography. Here, we will discuss on avariety of photosensitive materials, including negative-tone and positive-tone, organic-inorganic hybrids, and responsive hydrogels for 3D optical interference lithography. |
