제목 | A Study of Adsorption Characteristics of Heavy Metals Using Olivine |
초록 | Selection of a proper adsorbent is important for separation of heavy metal ions from aqueous solution. A wide variety of waste materials are produced daily in vast quantities from mineral processing plants throughout the world. Although their chemical and mineralogical composition are diversified, the bulk of these waste products is consisted of silicate minerals. In this work, olivine containing silicate material was used to treat heavy metal ions from polluted water. The adsorption of heavy metal ions onto olivine was favorable type. And single adsorption equilibrium data could be represented by the three proposed isotherms. The parameters of each isotherm were obtained by the least square fitting with experimental data. The affinity between heavy metal ions and olivine was in the following order : Pb > Cu > Zn> Cd. |
