제목 Biomimetic Polyaniline Microfiber Actuators
초록 Electroactive materials that change their shape in response to electrical stimulation can serve as actuators. Despite enormous efforts, the majority of electroactive actuators suffer from problems associated with the use of electrolytes, slow response, high driving voltage and short cycle life, which limit the performance of the devices. Herein, we report an electrolyte-free single component polymer actuator that is fast responsive, durable and require low driving voltage (< 5 V). The wet-spinning of a pre-organized camphor sulfonic acid doped polyaniline gel was the key to this success and afforded fabrication of long, flexible and conductive (~270S/cm) microfibers. Reversible bending motions were observed upon application of alternating current to the PANI polymer. The driving voltage was lowered significantly(< 2V) under external magnetic field and very fast and fatigue-resistant flapping wing motions were, for the first time, demonstrated.
