The hydrophilic to hydrophobic organic-inorganic hybrids have been synthesized by sol-gel technique using polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS), 2,2,3,4,4,4 hexafluorobutylmethacrylate (HFBMA), and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS). PMHS was reacted with HFBMA by hydrosilylation process in Pt catalyst as forming FPMHS precursor. The FPMS/Silica hybrids have been synthesized by the reaction of the precursor with TEOS, water and different ratios of ethanol at 70-80 °C for 24 hours. The hybrids were spin-coated on various substrates (glass, Silica wafer, and polyimide film) and thermally baked at 80 °C and 150 °C. The hybrids have been analyzed by FTIR, 1H-NMR, 29Si MAS-NMR, XPS and SEM with EDAX, AFM, XRD and TGA. The dynamic contact angles (DCA) to water and ethylene glycol on different substrates were also measured by drop shape analysis system. The prepared hybrid thin films have exhibited good transparency and hydrophilic to stable hydrophobic nature by the increasing of ethanol amounts. |
