제목 Poly(Vinylbenzyl Sulfonic Acid)-Grafted FEP Membrane for DMFC Application
초록 A novel polymer electrolyte membrane, poly(vinylbenzyl sulfonic acid)-grafted FEP (FEP-g-PVBSA) was prepared by a simultaneous irradiation grafting of vinylbenyzl chloride (VBC) onto a FEP film and subsequent chemical conversion processes to introduce a sulfonic acid moiety. The prepared membrane was found to have increased chemical stability compared to poly(styrene sulfonic acid)-grafted FEP membrane. Several membranes with the various degrees of grafting were prepared and their basic properties for DMFC membrane, such as ion exchange capacity, proton conductivity, water uptake, methanol uptake and methanol crossover were investigated.
