제목 Electrodeposition and characterization of Ni-W-TiB2 alloy composite coatings
초록 Ni-W-TiB2 alloy composite coatings were prepared by electrodeposition of Ni-W plating bath containing TiB2 submicron particles. The effect of W and codeposited TiB2 particles on the mechanical and tribological properties of the alloy composite coatings were systematically investigated. The surface morphologies and elemental composition of the Ni–W alloy and Ni–W-TiB2 alloy composite coating were observed using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and EDX respectively. Vickers microhardness, scratch resistant properties, wear and coefficient of friction of the Ni-W-TiB2 alloy composite coatings were found to be significantly improved in comparison to Ni-W or pure Ni coating.
