제목 Targeted Delivery of Doxorubicin by Folate-conjugated Heparin-based Self-assembled Nanoparticle
초록 To achieve targeted drug delivery for chemotherapy, a ligand-mediated nanoparticulate drug carrier composed of heparin-based copolymers was developed. The physicochemical properties of folate-conjugated heparin-poly(β-benzyl-L-aspartate) (HP) self-assembling nanoparticle were investigated in our previous report. In this study, the drug loading capacity of folate-conjugated HP copolymers was examined by using doxorubicin (DOX). The drug-loading content of HP nanoparticles with or without folate groups was depended on the feed weight ratio of drug to copolymer and the composition of the copolymers. The average size of DOX-loaded nanoparticles was in the range of 90-200 nm with high drug loading efficiency. The release kinetics of DOX from folate-conjugated HP nanoparticles at pH 5.0 was faster than that at pH 7.4.
