Side Chain Engineering of NDI-based Polymers for Enhancing Electron Mobility |

Recently, significant progress has been made in all polymer solar cells (all-PSCs) by modifying chemical structure and optimized architecture. Especially, close stacking of conjugated polymer has been an important issue for achieving efficient conducting pathways and charge transport property in bulk-heterojunction. Herein, a series of NDI-based polymers with controlled alkyl side chain was synthesized by Stille coupling reaction and investigated. At the optimized side chain of NDI-based polymers, UV-Vis spectra showed distinct shoulder peak and π-π stacking distance decreased. Consequently, electron mobility was increased up to 0.59, which is over 20 times that of NDI-based polymer with conventional branching point. |
